So – how does the process work?

It starts with a full market appraisal including:

An inspection to fully understand how the business works coupled with a detailed analysis of your accounts to create a market valuation. This is likely to be in respect of the business and asset either on a freehold or leasehold basis but can also take the form of a share sale.

This will often include advice on preparing the business for a sale which may involve getting up to date or abridged accounts, getting quality photographs, floor plans and ensuring that things like licences and an up-to-date EPC are in place.

We make sure you know exactly what you need to have ready to commence marketing.

We will work alongside you to agree a marketing plan – the timing of the marketing launch can be crucial when selling a business, particularly if is a business associated with the tourism sector. We will also create a marketing plan to identify where the business is marketed, to ensure that we target potential buyers.

    In 2023 Graham marked 20 years with the business and oversees the Business Transfer Department who provide an expert service to client looking to sell or lease their business throughout the whole of the South West. He specialises in the Leisure Industry, connecting the owners of campsites, hotels, guesthouses, holiday parks, cafes and restaurants, with suitable buyers. Graham is a keen tennis player and enjoys classical music.

  • Jonny Bright Commercial Surveyor - Miller Commercial

    Jonny has been with the business since 2019 and has recently completed the RICS APC to become a Chartered Surveyor. He specialises in all areas of commercial agency work, from selling and leasing empty premises to the sale of going concerns. He also sits on the regional committee for the RICS Matrics. Outside of work, Jonny's favourite way to spend his time is with his two young children embracing the all that the outdoors have to offer. He is a keen road cyclist, runner and swimmer and when time permits does some triathlon training.
